Williamsburg Restoration "Eighteenth Century Bird Bottle"
About 9 1/8" long, which is larger than some of them.
Stamped on the bottom with the Williamsburg Restoration stamp. Also stamped with the words Williamsburg Pottery and the year 1995..
A genuine reproduction bird bottle based on a bird bottle from the Williamsburg Foundation, this birdhouse is shaped basically like a carafe but has the addition of an integral stick holder and hole, so that you can mount a stick for well supported perching. It also has a sort of moon star cutout on the bottom/back for mounting.
The intended option for hanging it is to put a nail in the tree and put the bottom of the bottle against the tree with the point of the star over the nail.
Great color, new-never used.
