The Vintage Water Pitcher sports the initials “P&O” of The Peninsular & Orient Navigation Company, a British shipping company founded in the mid-19th Century to deliver mail to India and East Asia. Later, it became one of the most glamorous ocean liner fleets in the world. This elegant pitcher, made by renowned Mappin & Webb Silvermsmiths, was used in the dining and state rooms aboard ship. Care Instructions
Hand-wash with warm water and mild dish soap after use. Dry with a soft cloth. We find that the more you use and enjoy silver, the less you have to polish the pieces. Polish as needed with gentle, easy-to-use silver polish such as Twinkle or Wrights. Do not put in dishwasher.
