This is a W.T.H. Smith & Co. Longport plate in the Dewey Pattern. The manufacturer was William Thomas Hulma Smith. The pattern name "Dewey" and the registration number "No 333-990" are visible on the backstamp, which helps in dating the item. The registration number indicates the design was registered around 1898. One plate shown in photo has an offset pattern in the center, and the stamp on back is also off center and shows less aging but was in same set. One plate has a couple chips also shown in photos. Two plates have a similar crack .
