WW2 Veteran Estate Find: Tchaikovsky's Francesca Da Rimini Op.32, conducted by Sir Thomas Beecham with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. This Columbia Masterworks Set (M-447) is a first pressing, mono, 78rpm shellac/acetate record from 1939 (1940).
The vinyl is in VG++ condition, appearing nearly time-traveled and almost unplayed, maintaining a high gloss with very minor aging. The labels are NM/VG++, exceptionally clean with no spindle markings or font fade. The sleeve is VG+/VG, well-kept for its age but with some shelf wear, minor moisture absorption, and foxing. The spine is free of cracking or separation.
Overall grading is VG++ due to the media condition and age. The set includes the original case. Each record is cleaned with a Degritter Sonic Cleaner before audio testing and sale, ensuring high-fidelity quality.
