US Military Surplus
US Navy US NAVY issued cold weather mittens.
There are only size markings, with no contract information or other details.
The nylon material and the "U.S.N." marking with dots suggest it's from the 1950s at the newest.
Given the large size, it's likely the outer shell of the USN N-3 work mittens.
Nylon shell with stiff, thin padding, an adjuster belt on the inside of the wrist, and "U.S.N." printed on the outside.
There are minor stains, but no scratches or tears, and judging from the condition of the adjuster belt, it appears to be unused.
It's a rare item, and well-preserved Navy items are scarce.
Outer dimensions: Hand width 15cm, wrist opening 16cm, total length 35cm.
As mentioned before, these are not meant to be used as standalone gloves.
For an additional 1500 yen, I will include a new, unused pair of US military issue work gloves to be used as inner gloves.
