This is a two-volume collection of works by Yohji Yamamoto, a leading Japanese fashion designer. It is now out of print and extremely rare.
The set consists of two books: "Talking to Myself" and "1981/2002". "Talking to Myself" features color and black-and-white photographs by Peter Lindbergh, Nick Knight, Sheila Metzner, Sarah Moon, etc., Yohji Yamamoto's drawings, his own words, and text by Seiichi Washida. "1981/2002" presents a chronological overview of his collections from his debut at the Paris Fashion Week in 1981 to 2002, with photographs and text.
The beautiful binding was printed and bound by Steidl in Germany. It won the Bronze Award at the Leipzig International Book Design Fair, "The Most Beautiful Books in the World".
