Artist Paul L. Olson (1889-1981)
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he lived much of his life in Park Ridge, a suburb of Chicago. His artistic training is unknown, and he was not an artist as such. Initial research shows him associated with the insurance industry according to the census records, culminating with being Manager at the Equitable Insurance Company in 1940.
Artistically, he was noted as being a member of the North Shore Art Guild, where he was a regular exhibitor, and with the Business Men's Art Club, of which he was also Secretary-Treasurer.
Additionally, Olson exhibited with the Chicago Inter-City Amateur Art Club in 1928, and with the Swedish-American artists in 1937.
