Designer Lorenza Gandaglia lives and works in northern Italy where she learned the art of crochet from her grandmother since she was a child. Crochet, a traditional Italian technique, is believed to be an artful yet practical technique evolved from net making that fishermen developed centuries ago. Each bag is truly special and unique as it is hand crocheted by local female artisans in Florence supporting local tradition and empowering women, and is signed by the designer.
