1880s Victorian seed pearl onyx mourning brooch featuring dark black carved onyx with 13 tiny seed pearls set into a 9ct gold overplate.
As common for this period the brooch is not hallmarked but has been tested and confirmed to be 9 carat gold.
there is a small chip on the side of the brooch. see photos.
also the onyx seems to attract dust so the small white specs in the photo are dust.
