I have confirmed that it powers on with batteries and the buttons cause the mechanism to rotate, but I haven't been able to confirm playback or recording because I don't have a cassette to test with.
This is a junk item with unconfirmed functionality. Please consider purchasing this item on the understanding that it will need to be repaired, including the possibility of defects not listed below. Do not expect it to work perfectly as is.
