This is for a rare pencil signed Gerard Puvis embossed foil work entitled, "Maestro" made from wine bottle foils from the Château Cheval Blanc winery in Saint-Émilion in the Bordeaux wine region of France. Gerard Puvis is a renowned French artist who exhibits around the world. He produces whimsical celebrations of wine, here paying homage to a particularly expensive variety. He first crafts sculptures from the neck foils of wine bottles then creates prints that reference the original 3 dimensional pieces. Many of his prints have appeared on wine bottles around the world. The prints are created from handmade copper engravings from an original plate; they are embossed and then sealed with the foils.
