This piece was inspired by a small plaster statue of Beethoven that Armando Serra had displayed on his workshop's workbench. It was also inspired by the fact that in the cult movie "A Clockwork Orange," Alex referred to Beethoven as "LUDWIG VAN" and the famous song "ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN." Because the inside of the ring is deeply concave, a size that is about one size smaller than usual may be preferable.
